Prissy, a seven pound Toy Poodle, was bred to Fritz, a 14 pound Mini Schnauzer. They have 4 Miniature Schnoodle puppies, 3 boys and a girl, born October 31, 2009. We expect Prissy's Mini Schnoodle puppies to mature between 10 and 15 pounds.

Miniature Schnoodles are a very popular dog for families with children. This mix is very social, incredibly intelligent, and quite sturdy too. These traits make for a dog that is wonderful with kids. They enjoy a good romp outside, a walk of up to several miles, and yet, in the house, they're quite happy to chill out with the family.

One of the biggest strengths of the Mini Schnoodle is their non-shedding, allergy friendly coat. This is a great choice for most allergy sufferers (some folks will never be able to tolerate any dog.) Schnoodle colors are varied - parti colors like this are quite rare, but one of our specialties. Another great strength of the Schnoodle is its intelligence. Both Schnauzers and Poodles are quite intelligent (poodles are the 2nd most intelligent and trainable breed of all breeds) and the schnoodle seems even brighter than either breed. I think that the trusting, social nature of the schnauzer, really helps the Schnoodle excel at learning.
