Poochon Dogs and Puppies

Poochons are a cross between a Bichon Frise and a Poodle. We raise both Mini Poochon puppies and Toy Poochon puppies.

Most Poochons have a very curly, soft, and fluffy coat, which is non-shedding, and quite well tolerated by most people with allergies.

Personality

On a range of 1-10, 10 being the most active (like a Jack Russel Terrier!), Poochons will generally fall in the range of 4-7. Poochons are quite intelligent and easily trained. They are very good with children, quite tolerant of a lot of rough-housing. They are sturdy, and they enjoy being outdoors with their family. They are fun loving, but also enjoy cuddling.

Size and Colors

Poochons vary in size, depending on the size of the parents. Toy Poochons average 6-9 pounds. Mini Poochons mature 10 to 15 pounds. Poochons come in a variety of colors, mostly dependant on the color genetics of the poodle, as all Bichons are white or cream and white. We like to produce multicolors, like black and white, black with cream markings, etc. White or apricot are also common colors.
Poo Chons can be groomed many different ways. Most people prefer the bichon style groom, fluffy all over, including the face. Poodle type trims can be chosen as well. Like all non-shedding dogs, Poochons require professional grooming for trims, generally every 6 to 16 weeks, depending on how long you like the hair left. Shorter trims require less frequent grooming.
