Cockapoo Dogs and Puppies
The always popular Cockapoo is a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle.
Personality
If properly bred, Cockapoos are excellent family dogs, very good with kids, friendly, playful, and social. On a range of 1-10, 10 being the most active (like a Jack Russel Terrier!), they will generally fall in the range of 4-6. Since some cocker spaniels have temperament problems, it's important to buy your cockapoo from a reputable breeder - one that is careful only to breed with dogs that are kid friendly.
Size and Colors
Sizes vary, but most weigh an average of between 10 and 20 pounds. Most cockapoos are non-shedding, and even those that do shed, shed only minimally. Coat types can generally be determined by about 5 weeks of age. They come in a variety of colors, solid colors, parti's, and tri colors, including white, cream, apricot, buff, red, chocolate, silver, blue, and sable.
