Caramel, an 8 pound gold and white colored Shih Tzu, was bred to Abner, a 5 1/2 pound Yorkie. They have 3 Yorki-Zu puppies, 1 boy and 2 girls, born August 10, 2009. We expect Caramel's Yorki-Tzu puppies to mature between 6 and 9 pounds. My goodness, this is one irresistable little. Adorable! Very expressive and social.

Yor-Shi, Yorkie-Tzu, Yorkie Shih Tzu, York-Tzu, and Yorki-Tzu are all Shih Tzu Yorkshire Terrier mixes. This mix is unusual, both in appearance and temperament too. They tend to look much like a small version of Benji, with a slightly wavy, silky coat, with rich colors. The head is somewhat round shaped, with beautiful dark eyes. The temperament is outstanding, both fun loving and gentle at the same time. They have a perfect temperament for therapy work, and do very well in households with a handicapped or special needs child.

Yor-Shi are non-shedding, a great choice for folks looking for the elusive hypo-allergenic dog. While no dog is completely hypo-allergenic, these are allergy friendly and well tolerated by people with all but the very worst doggy allergies. Grooming needs vary with the type of trim and length of coat, but generally most Yorki-Tzu will need professional grooming every 6 to 12 weeks. The longer trims require more frequent grooms.
