Phoebe, a 7 pound Yorkshire Terrier, was bred to Harley, an 8 pound Maltese. They have 2 Morkie puppies, a girl and a boy, born September 9, 2009. We expect Phoebe's Yorktese puppies to mature between 6 and 9 pounds.

Yorkie Maltese are one of our smaller mixes - generally matureing between 4 and 7 pounds, sometimes as large as 9 pounds. This mix is fairly active and fun loving, well suited for families with kids, and especially well suited for families with lots of kids! They are social, sturdy for their small size, and very comical to watch. In families with small kids, it's best to choose a puppy that will mature closer to 9 pounds, rather than as small as 6 pounds.

This is a non-shedding mix, very well suited for families with allergy problems. Their small size helps with the allergies too, as smaller dogs will harbor fewer environmental allergies.
