Alexis, a 7 pound Yorkie, was bred to Scooter, a 6 pound Maltese. They have 6 beautiful Yorktese puppies, aka Morkies, born June 17, 2010. We expect Alexis's Morkie puppies to mature between 5 and 8 pounds.

Yorkese and Morkies are both Maltese Yorkie mixes. This is fast becoming one of our most popular mixes. They're generally very small, maturing an average of 5 to 8 pounds, sometimes less, sometimes more. They're eager and happy dogs, very affectionate and fun to watch. Choose a larger Morkie if you have children under about 9 years of age, as collisions can be fatal to the dog.

The Yorkie-Maltese is non-shedding. They have a very silky coat that requires brushing about twice a week. Plan for routine professional grooming every 4 to 12 weeks, depending on the style of trim you prefer.
