Iris, a beautiful little Bichon Frise female, was bred to Bonkers, a rare colored, orange and white Shih Tzu male. They have 6 Shi-Chon puppies, 1 girl and 5 boys, born April 7, 2008. We expect these Shih Tzu Bichon mix puppies to mature between 8 and 12 pounds.
Shih Chon puppies are fast becoming one of our most popular mixes. They are fantastic with kids - sturdy yet small. Very social, fun-loving without being hyper. This mix will play outside for hours, and come in and sack out while the kids do homework, or you watch TV. They have incredible coats - full, wavy, and wonderfully non-shedding.
Shih Chons are average in intelligence compared with other dogs. Housebreaking is generally finished after 4 to 6 weeks of age - less time if you're consistent, firm, and fair. We recommend crate training for the least confusing, convenient method of housebreaking. Information is available on the main website.
