Christy, an apricot and white Miniature Poodle, was bred to Twix, a brindle and white Shih Tzu. This is a repeat of a breeding done last year - the puppies in the last litter were GORGEOUS and had fantastic temperaments. We just had to repeat the breeding. Christy and Twix have 5 Shipoo puppies, 3 girls and 2 boys, born March 24, 2008. We expect theses puppies to mature between 10 and 14 pounds.

Shih Poos are a mix of a Shih Tzu and a Poodle. When someone calls out of the blue, looking for a mild mannered, child friendly, intelligent dog, one of our first recommendations is the Shih Poo. They inherit their sweet and forgiving nature from the Shih Tzu. They inherit their intelligence from the Poodle. This combination is wonderful with children, your childrens' friends, your neighbors, the vet, the groomer, and even complete strangers.

This is one of our non-shedding, allergy friendly mixes. Most people with dog allergies can be comfortable with the Shih Poo, though there are a few people that cannot tolerate any dog at all, due to severe allergies, or allergies to saliva. Shi-Poos come in a variety of colors, solid colors, blended colors, and parti colors are equally common. We try hard to breed for the multicolored shih poos, like you see in this litter.

Christy has 2 Shih Poo males - you can see photos below. Both are black and white, though they may mature sable and white.
