Prize, an apricot 40 pound Standard Poodle, was bred to Tucker, a 40 pound Standard Schnauzer. They have 8 Standard Schnoodle puppies, 4 boys and 4 girls, born June 10, 2010. We expect Prize's Standard Schnoodle puppies to mature between 40 and 60 pounds.
Standard Schnoodles are an ideal dog for families with allergy issues, that are looking for a truly non-shedding dog. In many cases, people looking at the Labradoodles and Goldendoodles may wish to consider the Standard Schnoodles as well, as some Goldendoodles and Labradoodles do shed a bit.
We breed our Standard Schnoodles using either a Standard Schnauzer or a Standard Poodle, or both. Those that have Standard sized parents generally mature between 40 and 60 pounds. Those with one mini sized parent, and one standard sized parent generally mature about 25 pounds. In any case, this is a very bright and easily trained mix. Housebreaking is accomplished in less than 2 weeks with many Standard Schnoodles, and others take 2 to 6 weeks. They're great with kids, fun loving, and generally nearly medium or medium in activity level.
