Lollipop, a silly and happy chocolate and white Shih Tzu, 7 pounds, was bred to Mugs, a beautiful parti colored Mini Schnauzer, 12 pounds. They have 4 little Schnauzer-Shih-Tzu puppies, all girls, born June 15, 2010. We expect Lollipop's puppies to mature between 8 and 12 pounds.

Schnauzer-Shih-Tzu mixes are also known as Schnau-Tzu and Schnee-Tzu! They're somewhat Benji like, with a somewhat straight coat, soft eyes, and adorably mutt-ish look. This is a mix we like to recommend for special needs children and adults, because they have a social nature, with a fairly sturdy build (though they are small too.) Most mature between 8 and 16 pounds, depending much on the size of the Shih Tzu parent.

The Schnau-Tzu (or Schnee-Tzu) is a low to non-shedding mix, which can be groomed in many styles, from long and scruffy, to a shorter terrier look. Most people with typical allergies will be very comfortable around this mix.
