Cola, a pretty salt and pepper colored Miniature Schnauzer, was bred to Harley, one of our Maltese boys. They have 4 Maltese Schnauzer mix puppies, 3 boys and a girl, born March 4, 2008. Harley and Cola are both pictured here. Their puppies are pictured below. We expect these puppies to mature between 9 and 12 pounds.

Maltese Schnauzers, also known as Mauzers and Malzers, are one of our non-shedding mixes. The Schnauzer and their mixes, are popular due to their intelligence, social nature, and durability. Maltese are popular because of their joyful, clownish antics. The cross is fun loving, fantastic with kids, and non-shedding to boot.

Colors vary quite a bit, depending on the color background of the schnauzer used in the breeding. Cola is known to carry for chocolate, white, and salt and pepper. That's one of the reasons we choose to breed her with a maltese, so we'd get some color variety in her litter, as we did. Many of our Schnauzer have been selected for breeding stock because of their varied color background. They typical salt and pepper coloring of the schnauzer limits the colors of the mixes. We feel that it's worth it to try to produce the unusual colors.
