Shayna, a 10 pound black small Miniature Poodle, was bred to Fonzie, a 9 pound Bichon Frise. They have 6 Poochon puppies, 3 girls and 3 boys, born September 17, 2009. We expect Shayna's Poo-Chon puppies to mature between 10 and 12 pounds.
Poo-Chons are a non-shedding, allergy friendly mix, ideal for people with even severe allergies, looking for a hypo-allergenic dog. Both the Poodle and Bichon Frise are non-shedding. Coats are strongly curly, shiny and luxurious. Professional grooming is necessary every 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the style of groom desired.
Poo-Chons are bright, fun loving, and social, much more social than a purebred Poodle. The poodle introduces intelligence and trainability to this mix. The bichon brings it's social, playful nature. This cross is wonderful with kids. They're quite athletic, and they enjoy outdoor activities. Housebreaking is usually accomplished in 3 to 6 weeks, using crate training.
