Claudia, a small blue and white colored Pekingese female (6 pounds), was bred to Pierre, a small cream colored Toy Poodle male. They have 5 Pekepoo puppies, three boys and two girls, born April 9, 2008. We expect these Peke-a-poo puppies to mature between 6 and 9 pounds.

Pekepoos are a mix of Pekingese and Poodle. This mix is non-shedding and allergy friendly, a good choice for folks with all but the very worst allergies. Like other non-shedding dogs, this mix requires grooming (professional grooming is best) every 6 to 12 weeks. Most people adopt a puppy cut style, with 1 1/2 of coat left all over. This is an attractive trim, and fairly easy to care for.

This mix is friendly, comical, and great with kids. Like most poodle mixes, the Peekapoos are easily trained, generally housebroken in 2 to 6 weeks, especially if you adopt the crate training method of housebreaking (details on the website.) They are friendly, playful, and sweet too.
