Rachel, a lovely 6 pound Maltese, was bred to Ernie, a little 5 pound chocolate colored Tiny Toy Poodle. They have 3 little Maltipoo puppies, 2 boys and a girl, born July 8, 2009. We expect Rachel's Maltese Poodle mix puppies to mature between 5 and 7 pounds.

This tiny size of Maltipoo is very popular with the older folks, as they travel very well. They'll fit under the seat in a plane, and are easy to travel with by car. This is a bright, cheerful, very friendly mix. They're comical, humerous, and fun to watch. They can be rather addicting, and it's not uncommon for folks to have more than one. They also do great with kitties too.

This mix loves kids, though the tiny size of some of the smallest 4 to 7 pound Maltipoo is really not suitable for children under about 9 years of age. A collision while playing can spell disaster for such a small dog, even as an adult. This mix is very bright, generally housebroken within 3 to 6 months, though it can take longer if you spoil the pup. Even small puppies like this can learn to potty outside right when they go to thier new home. This mix is non-shedding, a perfect choice for all the the very worst allergies. The small size will reduce allergens even more.
