Marigold, a 6 pound Maltese, was bred to Gus, a 7 pound black and white Toy Poodle. They have 2 little Maltepoo puppies, both girls, born July 28, 2009. We expect Marigold's Maltipoo pupipes to mature between 6 and 9 pounds.

Maltipoos, Maltepoos, and Multipoos are all Maltese-Poodle mixes. This is one of our smaller mixes, generally maturing under 9 pounds, though we do breed for larger Maltipoos occasionally. This is a fun loving, eager dog, very social and good with kids. Size needs to be considered when choosing such a small dog for families with young children under about 9 years of age. Activity levels are generally about medium, some a bit less active, and some more active.

Maltepoo coats are non-shedding, and much easier to care for than the purebred Maltese (the 2nd most difficult coat to care for, after the Bedlington Terrier.) Most people keep them trimmed quite short, to make care easier. Because Maltipoos are non-shedding, they are a good choice for families with allergy issues. Their small size helps in this respect as well.
