Lydia, a cream colored 8 pound Toy Poodle, was bred to Harley, an 8 pound Maltese male. They have 3 Maltipoo puppies, all boys, born September 5, 2009. We expect Lydia's Maltepoo puppies to mature between 8 and 10 pounds.

Malte-Poos, Multi-Poos, and Malti-Poos are all Maltese Poodle mixes. This is one of the smallest mixes we work with, ranging from as small as 4 pounds to as large as 12 pounds, depending on the size of the parents. The smallest sized Malti-Poos are best fit to a family with children over 8 years of age. Malti-Poos have no idea of their small size, and rough-housing with little children can be dangerous for the smallest Malte-Poos.

As I mentioned, Malte-Poos have a big heart. They love to play, and most tend to be right around medium in activity level. This is a non-shedding mix. Their non-shedding coat plus their small size combines to make a dog that is really well suited for families with all but the very worst allergy issues. Brushing is required weekly, and professional grooming should be planned every 6 to 12 weeks.
