Tac, one of our Shih Tzu girls (we name our Shih Tzus after candies, and Tic and Tac are sisters!) was bred to Chief, a small little Maltese male. They have 6 Mal-Shih puppies, 3 girls and 3 boys, born May 6, 2008. We expect this litter of Maltese Shih Tzu puppies to mature between 7 and 11 pounds. Mal-Tzu, Mal-Shi, Mal-Shih, and Maltese Shih Tzu are all Shih Tzu Maltese mixes. This mix is desireable for several reasons - The coat type is soft, luxurious, and non-shedding, a great choice for folks looking for an allergy friendly dog. This is a fun mix - they enjoy playing with the kids, by themselves, with other dogs, and with kitties too.

The temperament of the Mal-Shi is generally medium in activity level, and many are a bit milder than medium in activity level. They love kids, and are playful outside, and milder in the house when it's time to settle down and relax. This mix is super friendly to many people, not just the family. Visitors and strangers are welcomed with a smile and happy tail wag.

Remarkably, Tac's boys are all creamy white! It's interesting how the boys are cream/white, and the girls are multi-colored.
