Dove, a beautiful brindle and white parti colored Shih Tzu, was bred to Chief, one of our smallest Maltese boys. They have 3 lovely Maltese-Shih Tzu mix puppies, 2 boys and a girl, born April 12, 2008. We expect these Mal-Shi puppies to mature between 7 and 10 pounds. Photos and information are below:

Maltese Shih Tzu mixes, otherwise known as Maltzu or Mal-Shi, are a small, non-shedding, kid friendly mix. This mix is social, clownish, and great with kids. Intelligence is average - they're generally housebroken in 4 to 8 weeks, depending on how consistent you are with training! This is a social mix - they are very interested in being the center of attention, and your family's best friend.

Maltese Shih Tzu have rather straight, very soft coats. This coat is non-shedding, a very good choice for people that need an allergy-friendly coat.
