This page lists the puppies old enough for adoption now and includes information about all the puppies that are currently available without deposit. These pups have already been through the selection process (when people that have deposits with us have an opportunity to choose pups before the pups are made available to folks without deposit.) In most cases, the pups are ready to go immediately.

Information

How to Adopt a Puppy:

1. View our large selection of dogs and puppies listed here. We also have puppies that are almost ready to be available, but not yet listed on this page, because they are not yet old enough to go through our Selection Process. You can view the Our Puppies Master List to see all puppies, including those available, young baby puppies, and also upcoming litters. If we don't have a puppy immediately available, you may Reserve a Puppy!
2. Click a puppy image, or click Mom's name next to a puppy, to be taken to that specific litter's page. There you will learn more about that litter and about other puppies in that litter that are available.
3. Select the type of puppy you are interested in by using the links at the top of the page.
4. Complete the Reservation Form. More information about Reserving a Puppy is also available.
5. Contact us at 218-546-2811 or by using our online contact form.
6. We make all shipping arrangements, if necessary.
7. Send payment for puppy, once we have made shipping arrangements.
8. We will ship the puppy, generally using Northwest, Continental, Delta, or American Airlines. We can also meet you locally if that is more convenient. We do go to the Minneapolis Airport almost weekly.
9. We are happy to give you support with answers to training questions, etc., after you get your puppy.

Notice:

We also have lots of puppies that are too young to have gone through the selection process. Many of these puppies can be seen and reserved by visiting our Litters Page.

Shipping & Handling:

A $25 handling fee is charged per puppy, to all puppy sales to cover the expense of credit card handling, and accounting for all transactions.

If you are picking up your puppy locally, the following charges will apply for each puppy purchased: Sales Tax (6.875% for Minnesota residents), Handling ($25), Travel, if picking up the puppy in Minneapolis ($25). If you are picking up your puppy in Brainerd or Deerwood, no travel fee is charged. After hours pickup in Brainerd or Deerwood, is an additional $30. Normal pickup hours in Brainerd or Deerwood are between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm on weekdays. We can generally make arrangements to meet you after hours. It is very important that you be prompt about your appointment time. We have had trouble with this in the past, and if it continues, we will no longer be able to offer this service.

"Shipping Expenses" vary with the size of the dog, the destination, and the airline used. We will always prefer to send the puppy using a direct flight if possible. While this may be inconvenient, it is in the puppy's best interest. If your journey to an airport with a direct flight is more than 120 miles, we will attempt to book a flight for you to a closer airport, as long as the puppy is strong enough to handle the extra leg of the flight. By size, shipping estimates are below:

• Very small dog, under about 4 pounds: Airfare of $165 to $205, kennel ($25), health certificate ($35), handling ($25), travel to airport ($35) totals between $285 and $325ish, varies with destination (and airline). Rabies is an extra $10, if pup is over 12 weeks of age. You keep kennel.
• Small dog, between about 4 and 8 pounds: Airfare of $165 to $225, kennel ($25), health certificate ($35), handling ($25), travel to airport ($35) totals between $285 and $335ish, varies with destination (and airline). Rabies is an extra $10, if pup is over 12 weeks of age. You keep kennel.
• Medium dog, between about 8 and 15 pounds: Airfare of $195 to $225, kennel ($25), health certificate ($35+), handling ($25), travel to airport ($35) totals between $315 and $325ish, varies with destination (and airline). Rabies is an extra $10, if pup is over 12 weeks of age. You keep kennel.
• Larger dog, between 15 and 40 pounds: Airfare of $225 to $300, kennel ($90), health certificate ($35), handling ($25), travel to airport ($35) totals between $325 and $400ish, varies with destination. Rabies is an extra $10, if pup is over 12 weeks of age. A large part of the shipping expense here is the kennel, which is generally large enough for the adult dog. You keep kennel.
